Light of Zyan
S o e n d e ~ C r s l a ~ P t a l

Introduction

Those born in the Kingdom of Silanta lived a thousand years within a Golden Age.
In the ancient lands the story is told of a world where the beginnings of the dark ones gain power and turn the wheel of destiny in reverse and divide the family of light. Throughout the story of the Soende Crsla Ptal upon which the Light of Zyan shines all that is told comes from within the divine heart of Rysa.

Silanta

The great golden sun lowered its shining rays and set between the great trees in the lush forest shadowed by the black mountains. The age of the divine kings had ended and a dark master sat upon the throne in the magnificent ancient land of Silanta. The Silantan Dynasty of Kings covered five thousand years and King Abzat’s rule has become decadent and ruthless.

King Abzat decreed that all life within the realm is subject to his absolute power and for all to deny the old teachers of the white pyramid temples. In all of the kingdom of Silanta Abzat broke the covenant of the golden sun and turned the people away from the white light and brought them within the walls of the cities. The grand decrees were announced at the celebration of the Blue and Golden Sun. The tribes within the cities were ordered to rebuild the old walls around all settlements. It was ordered that no one shall live outside of the walls and roads between cities shall be blocked and guarded by the King’s Army.

“Silanta has been ruled by the iron fist of power and dominance over the great evil that continues to seek to destroy what a thousands of years has built.” King Abzat declared to the Silantans “By decree, the sword of the army and the Stone of our great walls defend and protect us from evil. We shall prevail above all enemies who attack us and wish to destroy our great kingdom. Those who are out there in the wilderness who gather in strength and plot to overthrow our world I vow to defend you my people from their attacks and evil. You have been deceived by the magic priests who dwell in far off temples and speak lies and wish to enslave us and destroy our world.”

In his regal palace King Abzat has lost touch with his people and has become insane from power. His wickedness is born from evil attendants who keep his gaze directed towards malice and dominance by keeping him in fear of invisible and false enemies. In his deranged imagination the King knows there is evil in his world and knows it is beyond the gates of the safety of the city. He feels it crawling outside the gates and flying in the black air. Abzat hears it wail its terrible screams that torture his mind and makes his hands tremble. The King fears the powers of the unknown and the teachers of the white temples.

“The King’s power is total and I am commanded to keep you safe from the evil of those who live outside our realm.” Abzat said in his grand decree. “Silanta is the greatest nation every built upon the lands of this world. The King’s family has descended from Draykynys. From these stars as our history has recorded is our destiny is to rule and protect the weak of the kingdom from the enemies waiting outside to kill and ravage Silanta. From this time forth the First Decree is that no one shall enter again through the twin gates of our capital city of Retsa. Those who do not submit to living within the city walls are forever banned. Those who stay under the protection and safety shall be kept safe from the terror and horror that abides outside in the wilderness.”

In kingdoms of beings and creatures small and large, feathered and scaled they speak between them the language of Nelan and sing the ancient songs and see future visions. The followers of the old path remember how to speak, sing and see the visions. They know how to speak with the creatures of the world and see the signs that come from within the world they know as EA. The mother of nature and the grand living heart of the world she is the divine creator of all living, breathing and feeling things that swim, walk, fly and live within her world. The followers of the old path know they must wait eons before the rising sun returns and shines again as the age of the Golden Sun are passing away.

Many Silantans have begun to feel rage become deep anguish as they turn away from home and to a journey that leads into the unknown. The Elders acknowledge the power of the King and a path against the Law set forth by King is dangerous to the safety of the family and the city. Those who stand against the power endanger the lives of children and their families. To fight Abzat’s army of mercenaries ends mercilessly and brutally. His insane hatred and fear leaves all who stand against his power facing a terrible fate.

Nemea, a young Silantan woman of dark hair and green eyes found within herself an independent and vibrant heart. Her strength of will guided her steps as she traveled into the wilderness. With no companion on this quest and no one from her family she traveled with no one knowing of her direction. She left in the darkness of night and said nothing to her family of the journey she must make. She is not lost but alone in this walk and on her path of freedom inspired by dreams and visions. Nemea’s path takes her through the valley of Anzor and on to find the awaiting destiny on the cliffs above the ocean.

Nemea could not allow herself to trade her freedom for bondage. She fought with those who taught the fear of the unknown and said the ancient wisdom has turned into reciting meaningless doctrine. She declared the sacred language was spoken without truth souring the soul and blinding the purpose. Nemea could no longer visit the Temples because the initiates performed corrupted rituals and worshipped the image and not the truth. The ceremonial magic taught by the priests demeaned the purity of her spirit and left her empty knowing the priests were possessed with dark intent and ignorance. All the tribal leaders were willing to believe in illusion for the false safety and decaying comfort provided by the King.

Nemea carries a child with her as she wishes to give birth to a free soul. “I  will not going to allow my son to be born in bondage or dwell in a city with blind men and snakes.” She speaks within and feels anger at those who have failed to protect her. Fading images of her father and mother stayed within her memories like the writings on the walls of the dark old city. They chose bondage over the adventure. Of her husband he life taken and sacrificed in the wars across the oceans in the lands no one has ever seen. None have returned and the fear builds in the Retsa with each day, with each hour as the silence of their voices echoes in the howl of the rising winds.

“The Blue and Golden Suns align and bring to this world the promise of the era of joy and wisdom.” She thought as in the cities the King and the priests say with the coming Blue Sun the evil ones from the wilderness and beyond the oceans will rush to destroy Silanta.

"The evil teachers secretly conspire with the enemies beyond the ocean to take our children and kill all the women. They live with demons who drink the blood of victims and eat their hearts hot and beating. The white liars live with vampires who stalk you and will take your very soul." King Abzat's Nicci priests preach to the masses the doctrine of pure evil of the Teachers of the White Pyramids.

“I seek my own inner truth and I will not let my consciousness become the tool of the mad king and his evil Nicci. Let my words ring out. I am Nemea,” she said, “I am the one who would rise above the world and fly away from injustice and cruelty. I have seen the vision of the world and I know it to be wrong. Let my vision ring into the hearts and minds of all who live in Silanta. This is not right. We shall not go against the creator and fight the people of Malea, across the oceans.”

“I am a guardian of the radiant blue sun that shines from beyond the golden sun. Mine is to hold the power of creation and I bring the Nelan forth to command the Eagles. I am here to call forth the energies of Solam, the Golden Sun and overcome all that would hold back creation. I am Nemea, of the radiant ones.”

On the horizon as the golden sun moves lower in the horizon and the blue sun follows more closely each day. The conjunction and eclipse of the blue sun brings to the world of Ea the greatest event in known history. Before the reign of the Silantan Dynasties the eclipse was and before the Malean world awoke in the distant islands the suns have not come together but in this life they will become one.

Silantans have been told by the Nicci priests of Silanta that the upper worlds will be destroyed and that the suns will collide and the blue sun and golden sun will wage a war of the gods. They tell their people that they will be protected by the old Walls and in the underground tunnels below the Cities. That in Retsa and Vagenra they will be safe from the powers of nature that will cause destruction of the world. The priests read the secret doctrines of the ancient kings and tell them that the ancient Silantan King, Raem protected them before and that King Abzat holds unrevealed supernatural powers to keep the world safe from cataclysm.

Earthquakes, hurricanes, thunder storms and volcanoes have erupted causing damage throughout the world. The Blue Sun draws closer into alignment with the Golden Sun and meteorites rain from the celestial heavens. Silantans become more afraid and with the proclamations given by the priests. The priests tell them that invisible creatures are possessing friends and family and are misguiding them. The misguided are being told there is nothing to fear and that they will see an awakening of the Nelan. Those speak of the angels of the Nelan are misguided and possessed by the blue demons who hide in the guise of the Nelan and spirits of nature.

“War is my destiny and we shall overcome the enemy of our Ancients Ancestors.” King Abzat has decreed. “The Malean are descendents of animals and we are born from the rays of light from Drakynys and have come to Ea and founded Silanta. These are the days of final destruction of our enemies who travel with the blue sun and possess the Malean.  To follow our victory over the enemy will be the greatest kingdom of Silanta which shall last one hundred thousand years. I am King Abzat, your champion who was chosen by our ancestors to save our world from destruction. I have promised by the Kings before me, and the great King Raem, that my rule will be fulfilled and I will be crowned the greatest King of all the Dynasties.”

II

Nemea sees a future that has paths that will be taken by the people of Silanta. “Other things will happen this day for I must leave and follow the path of the Nelan. The Nelan have cared for me and have told me to listen to the inner voices. I have listened and there is a slow and tremendous transformation happening.

Silantans have a choice. They may revolt from Abzat yet will enough ignite the central fire within to break the bondage of fear. Which destiny will they follow the destiny I have chosen and seek the Nelans or will they fall into confusion and seek the illusion of control and safety in the tunnels below the old cities. The power of the cosmos is being directed through the blue sun through Ea. Will her transformation be sealed?

The Councilors and priests of Abzat know this. They have conspired with the Nicci, the clan of serpents. The army controls all the merchants, guilds and laborers and follow the will of the Nicci usurping the control of the King. The Nicci have infiltrated the priest class with the call to the secrof rewol which turns the arkaches to spin a web of lies and deception. Clear light is fogged with a sticky azrel substance which sickens the ka of those who hold the inner essence of the Nelan. The death of the bodies will not free the spirits to the guidance of the Nelan but render them prisoners in the dark caves controlled by the black magical powers of the unseen masters of the Nicci.

Through the black mountains the Golden Sun begins to set over the horizon and the Blue sun now takes up its radiance. Nemea feels the quickening of her soul as the light of the Blue Sun touches her crown and she feels the energy of the Nelan awaken energy within her mind. The shining blue ultraviolet light of the blue sun shimmers feelings that tingle through her body. Nemea feels her energy centers between her forehead open to receive the higher light of accelerated energy.

“I am the daughter of the Blue Sun and a divine Nelan guided to this world to bring forth a child to transform worlds and eons.” She speaks to the shining blue star. “I am of the winged Nelan who you have called forth to overcome the oppression of the dark ages of men. Your light awakens me to see beyond the Secrof Rewol. I see with the eyes of Perisanna. The blue irridescent light which shines within my inner temple and calls me forth to rejuvenate and hold the life of the coming eons.”

Her escape becomes a deep journey within as a divine intention to bring forth a son to a world of freedom and away from evil. In the wake of the evil of the Nicci many have fallen. They have claimed the blood for their clan on their shields. They will not stop with just a few. The war they wage is endless. They taste the primordial essence of life and draw from it food that fuels an insatiable sadism and sick malevolent desire for more. The Nicci are traitors and the fallen giants who become serpent predators. Nicci seek weakness and fear and their pleasure is the kill of the weak. Their eyes have grown red with blood and green with sickness and they have become blind to the light of the Blue Sun.

Her pilgrimage is guided to the great master, Sonatt of the white temple. Her journey is heartfelt and follows awakening from the limited dark mass consciousness from the cities of Retsa and Vagnera. The trail to the White Temple from the central city of Retsa has been covered over and hidden. Nemea was told it was only a legend, a myth and if existed has long been washed away by the storms and destruction caused by the evils ones of the Blue Sun.

Her journey has continued over days and days and her way has been hard and she left with nothing but a small pouch within which she carries morsels of food to strengthen her body and keep pace with her soul's desire. Nemea carries on upward across a path through the black mountains no longer traveled. The trees grow into the blue violet sky taller than anyplace in Ea. As the golden sun sets white stars begin to appear as the sky becomes purple under the blue rays of the second sun. Alone, with child, unsure, listening to the sounds to guide her she knows she no longer is part of Silanta but has become a traveler and on an endless quest.

“The world that I was part of has changed. I do not belong to my family, my city or to Silanta. In Silanta fear, abuse and terror marks everyone who lives within the walls. I have chosen the life of a woman but not that of a slave.” Nemea feels a tear from her left eye grace her cheek and she wipes it clean. A breeze of the fresh air glides past her face as the coolness washes away the lingering wetness. The climb has brought her to rest and her tears mix with perspiration. The future promises a happier path as behind her is a pain of thousands of years domination of brutes over weakened and fearful souls. She prays the master teacher, Sonatt is close.

III

The myths and legends of Sonatt tell that he offers sanctuary to wanderers. The Nelan have spoken to her that Sonatt is a Master of Light. He is her opportunity to find one of the Old Kings, the Great ones who have held to the wisdom of the ages. Sonatt may be the keeper of the Sanctum of the Old Kingdom and hold special magical power. He may be able to help her bring her son into a free world.

The Nicci, priests and warriors of King Abzat have not ventured into the wildereness or the lands of Sonatt and Nesara his companion, equal and a high priestess. They know little of the Old Masters. There are stories that they have lived for a thousand years but these tales are discounted as foolish and impossible. King Abzat has declared to the city dwellers who believe that they are the great necromancers who are causing the cataclysms and destructions of the world. That they conspire with azrel forces that are vampires and seek to feed off of the flesh and bones of the living souls of Silanta.

Nemea separated herself from her family and knew would never return to the city of Vagnera. Everything she knew has been turned over. Kindness and hope has died, beauty was torn under by the power of one who would watch infants die. Kings who call for war against children of other lands are leaders of only fools and beasts.

The legends tell that all that would come near to hold no fear of their power and they will be safe. They are powerful magicians of sorcery and spiritual power. Most Silantans go about their business of living and avoid thinking about the changing world. They ignore what they fail to understand and fear what they are ignorant of.

IV

Fog moves in around the trees and darkness settles in. Every movement becomes harder. The Oasis of the Sanctum feels like a dream. The darkness and the fog make the journey longer and the climb more difficult. Each step becomes more confusing and unsure in the tall wooded forest and the rocky overgrown pathway. The blue sun light darkens to deep indigo and the trail becomes invisible as fog covers every rock, tree, cliff and star in a wet misty blanket. The ocean is close as the fog is brought by the moisture. The ocean cliffs bring the fog closer and hold it within the darkening forest. The fog hides her shadowy silhouette but she keeps her mind on the goal of sanctuary. The blue light almost disappears but still guides her north towards the destination of the ancient master and the White Pyramid.

Alone Nemea began this journey and no other not even the father of her child to comfort her in this effort. The disappearing warmth and comfort of the old cities gave a moment of hesitation as nature's cold grew deeper and darker. She knew her life was to be given so that her son would be born free of the domination of the old king. She knew that staying was not possible as the barren future would take its toll on her will and resolve.

The cliff edge began to appear ahead and the sounds of ocean waves echoed down below. The sound of the surf raging against the rocky shore assured her one part of the journey is at an end. Each step on moist ground slipped on the rocks and leaves of the underbrush. Her body grew weary and legs heavy. The pathway is ending and tears are rolling out of her eyes.

Her family would not listen to her visions of the Nelan. They laughed and sent her to the priests and doctors. They gave her drugs and painful therapy. The visions increased and she knew that she would have her child taken and her mind broken by them. She had to leave to reach within and connect up with the Nelan, her spirit and heart. Nemea could hear her unborn child call to her. She knew her mission. She cried and walked alone through the mist and wet forest. She knew she could not let her son be born in the world of King Abzat or in the City of Vagnera.

The surf sounded a deep muffled roar far below as it crashed into solid ground. She had not felt the rumbling power of the sea like this before. The thunderous booming of water upon earth pulsed through her body. Without being able to see below in the quickening darkness she carefully watched her step high above on the cliff edge. A deep dark chasm began to open before her as she guided herself by instinct through the moist fog along the rocky vegetated cliff. A single path on the outcropping pinnacle paralleled the seashore. The Sanctum and safety called her to go on.

Exhausted, anxious and tired Nemea called out to Sonatt, “I am here, I call out to you Master Sonatt. Please I am here. Guide me home to the safety. Protect me and my child to be born.” Her voice could not be heard over the sounds of the ocean and the onshore breeze sending the spray through the trees.

The journey became steeper and her legs grew heavier and heavier. Nemea became more and more exhausted as in the days of the journey she took no rest. She began to worry as the fog grew darker and thicker and no answer came from her call to Sonatt or the Nelan. The mist was cold and her body shivered as she dripped an continual stream of water from here soaked hair. Her eyes could no longer see her steps through the brush and trees. The emptiness surrounded her with the beginning of terror. The darkness and fog blinded her to the world ahead but she remembered she walked further which each step from a greater fear.

Nemea sat upon the ground and remembered her commitment and her promise to her unborn son. She would leave the Old City and leave the angry and dangerous world of Silanta. In the city of Vagnera they lie, cheat, steal and take your life. The sacrifices or the army would take her son if she stayed like they have taken the others. Her husband is now surely dead. She knew that he would not return from the wars with Malea. The wars with Malea took him and he will not come back. His death like a million others was meaningless and all for King Abzat and the Nicci to count and lie about their enemies. Shand brought her love and cared from her but could not save himself from the old world. Nemea’s memory brought her out of desperation and into the grief of tenderness where her weaping heart let her find the caress of sleep for a moment in the journey.

In sleep she dreamed of her lost husband and how they shared bodies in times of simple happiness. As the dream continued she began to awaken to know the dream was a dream but in the soft comfort of sleep her body grew warmer and her heart beat slower. Throughout the journey the Nelan have not been speaking to her as she had known them but in her dreams they returned.

"Nemea, dear one your journey is almost complete for you have reached beyond the Valley of Anzor and onto the Cliffs of Iric. We have held you in our arms and feel your desire grow with each step. It is our wish to release your burden and carry you and see you on your way. It is our wish for you to find in your life the memory you call upon now and let that be your peace and resolution. You are a great one in our hearts and we are blessed to guide you on your path. "

Nemea awoke for a moment feeling her loss of her husband and knowing the world of terror lies behind her. She calls out “Oh, Shand, I wish you were here and I was not alone. I need you to guide me on. I am here to find the path but cannot, it is dark, please lead me along to Sonatt and Nesara.I am afraid to go on and afraid to go back. There is no one to lead me out of this spot. My next step may take me down to the rocky bottom of the shore. I am not sure how I came. I cannot see. It is al dark. What do I do now?”

Nemea found emptiness where before she found meaning and in the darkness was lost and could no longer move forward on the cliff edge. Without shelter and without direction she could only pray that the morning would bring her light and warmth to continue.

“I will not move until the suns rise and they give me light to see again. I will lay here and protect myself in this soft grassy abode and have the ocean bring me to sleep if I can." Nemea said as she laid under one of the largest trees in the forest. It was the driest spot she could find on the cliff as the waves resounded all around with a thunderous roar. The fog stayed throughout the night as she listened to her heart beat in rhythm with the waves. Nemea curled up as comfortable as she could in the shelter under the giant tree.  She slept deeply and sadly as hope left and faith like an ember glowed.

The night enclosed closer and without starlight or candle light she entered the darkness of unending thunder. In the sleeping night mystery there is a heart that cares to keep her light alive for death is not wished and life is held sacred. She knows the destiny awaiting and the one her future son would wish for will arrive, but now she sleeps without comfort wanting only the dawn to appear. In deep sleep patience returns as she waits for the light to return.

V

At first golden light she saw where she had rested under the great evergreen tree in the forest. The sky turned blue as the Golden Sun rose upon the beautiful world of Ea green and lush with flowers and trees. The Ocean stretched outwards like a river of heaven infinite, endless and eternal. Awakening refreshed her heart and Nemea filled her lungs with fresh cool air.

“I am the daughter of Ea.” Nemea proclaimed as she felth the warmth of the Golden Sun bring her energy and saw the light of the Blue Sun begin to rise closely following the Golden Sun on the horizon. “The morning brings my life back to me.”

Nemea looks and sees that her journey has taken her right to the cliff edge. She was guided to rest or would have fallen off the edge of this cliff. If she would have moved further forward it would have been too far for the Tree held her back as a guardian in the night. Intuition brought her safely to this spot and she was guided to rest under the tree and wait until morning for light and direction.

Coming so far across the land with so little energy she knows that she was guided by the Nelan. A dream reminded her of her life before as she was Nemea of the City of Vagnera and her husband Shand was conscripted into the war with Malea and was surely killed. He knew that she was to be sacrificed to him if she stayed and her child buried with her or given to the priests. They will not allow me to bear a fatherless child so she ran and ran and ran. Tears that soaked her face have left a deep stain upon her spirit but the thought of her beloved wish and her unborn to live carried her to this spot.

“I follow his wish that I carry on. I was born to bring this new heart into the world. I will not let the king kill me or my unborn son.” Nemea knew this was her life’s mission and she gained her strength to travel further north. This journey across the forests away from Vagnera to find safety and have my child will succeed. Nemea lifted her head up saw the path again and moved down along the ridge and looked with promise into the future.

The Blue Sun shines into Nemea’s heart a message that awakens her body to new gifts, powers and abilities. She knows it is the home of the Nelan and it is not evil as the King and his priest expound. The Blue Sun brings a light of truth that transforms and restores Ea to the beautiful world of peace and joy. The Evil that comes is from the dark star that hides in the blackness of the night.

The Dark ones are the Murkads who have summoned the old ones to return to Ea. The Iamerians are of the Blue Sun and Asterians are part of the Golden Sun. The Nelan know this to be true and they have told those who understand that the Murkads are working with Abzat to take more power. They wish to destroy the world with it and cover the planet with darkness. This is there hope to control or destroy.

Aster and Iamer shine up the sky as the light of Golden and Blue rays shine across the horizon together. The mingling of the light gives an emerald greed tint the morning sky behind violet shades of darkness. The light fills Silantan with hope and freedom. Nemea knows she will not be sacrificed to the whims of the priest or the powers of the king. I will have my child. I seek the safety and the comfort of the Sanctury of the White Temple.

In the distance a sparkling crystal shines responding to the suns light. It is the White Temple. Nemea sees it now and knows her journey is about to be completed. The Nelans speak again to her in a way without words and in a language that holds no counterpart in all the languages of Ea.

"Nemea, your strenght has brought forth tears of compassion as you are given the love of the divine blue sun. Your energy shall be held immortal as long as you wish your light ot shine. The sacricice is over for you have surmounted the black mountains and left behind the walled cities. You have walked the pathway and with the light of your souls desire to give. Your every step has been rewarded with renewal and life eternal. You are of the Nelan, the Angels of the Blue Sun. You are one of those who has been chosen to bring forth the race of ascending beings into the world. You are a high priestess and wayshower to the rising sun."

Nemea, heard and felt these words touch her soul and the deep knowing was felt like a deep assurance and protection. In knowing this peace she dropped to her knees in gratitude and felt Ea hold her body in a sacred embrace.

"All is god and we are with you on this journey. Be at peace and continue."
